Diet Coke and Mentos Experiment

To make this experiment work you will need the following:

1. 2 liters of diet coke

2. A box of mentos (regular mint preferred)

3. Paper clips

4. A drill

Directions:

1. First Drill a hole into the cap of the diet coke (Not so small but, not so big)

2. Straighten a paper clip with a tiny angle at the end almost like a very long thin L (This will hold the mentos in the bottle like a hot dog on a stick)

3. Drill small holes through the mentos so, the paper clip can fit through

4. Thread the mentos through the paper clip and the bend of the L will hold the mentos in.

5.Attach another paper clip across where you hold the top of the flat paper clip on the cap (this would suspend the mentos when you twist the cap on the soda, leave a little of soda out of the bottle when doing experiment)

6. Insert the mentos on the cap (usually 9) twist it on carefully so it doesn't touch the soda!

7. Pull off the upper paper clip, and stand back!!

Anyway, it's an alright guide... kind of hard to follow without pictures.

Science Class did this at school and we didn't use any paper clips or drills. This sounds like a really confusing way to do it.

2. Drop pack of mentos into coke

except for the fact that you can only get 3 or 4 in before it goes off and it just overflows with 4. thans why this method really works better you can get way more in before it goes off.

Heres a Diet coke and mentos "bomb" prank. Not really a bomb.

Ok all you need is:

any size bottle of diet coke.

A nail.

dental floss.

Step 1. Poke a nail in the middle of the mentos.

Step 2. Put a string of dental floss through it. Not too short now. 3-5 inches i would suggest.

Step 3. Open the Diet Coke bottle and hang the mentos attached to the dental floss just below the rim of the bottle. So the mentos is underneath the cap.


Step 4. Close the bottle and cut off the remainding dental floss so no one can see that the dental floss is there.

Step 5. Wait till someone opens the bottle and make sure your around to watch this hilarious prank.

Step 6. Watch them open the bottle get scared and laugh your ass off.

Voila

lol ive done those thing big funoce i did it in school i a wall aimed the cap and the ned at the teacher went closer and then i cuted the rubber clove that was holding menthos and the boom teacher is full of diet coke big funn and the i ran for my life lauging my ass off i even jump out of a ground floor window and when i came back to school next day every one gongrazed me and shaked my hand and claped lol and i even got the ladyes attandion well that lasted till the class started.

Also its all to confusing, i prefer the simple one, just throw them into the bottle, and close lid
