Default [Guide] How to Find a Job.

It's time for summer jobs & such. I'm going to give you some steps that'll help you on the road to success.

Step One :
  • Write a resume. Writing a good & effective resume takes time and effort but it is worth the time. Try to make yourself sound good as possible & it doesn't hurt anyone to lie a bit. In the skills or hobbies section, I suggest using variety of things, so they think your an all-rounded person & again, lieing never hurt anyone. Have your resume easy on the eye also, make attractive text & different size fonts for headers, ect.

    Step Two :
  • Looking for the perfect job is a hard thing to do. There is not many choices for teenagers due to age & qualifications. Try to find a job you can progressively make a career out of, starting early never hurts. Find a job where there is promotions instead of being stuck as a front desk server for the rest of your life. Going to you local job bank, you will find many different job openings around the community, or maybe even have a try online.

    Step Three :
  • So you applied, and you got an interview. Here is the most nerve wrecking & difficult part. When you are invited to an interview it means that the hiring manager belives you may be a good match for the job opening, and he or she wants to know for sure. The interview is used to determine whether you are qualified for the position or not. Before the interview, prepare yourself, be confident because usually interviewers try to stump the job seekers. Start the interview off with a handshake & a smile, first impressions mean everything. When being asked questions, process them in your head, think of your answers before you speak. Also, never repeat the question.

    Step Four :
  • After the interview, it is important to follow up. Call, email or send a letter to the employer. This shows that you are eager to work & are serious about becoming employed. Inquire about the status of your candidicy & ask if they would like any additional information.

If you follow these key steps, finding the right job for you should be a breeze. =]
