[Guide] How to Cure a Cold Quicker.

Ever been planning something for weeks & a couple of days before it happens, you get a cold. It's happened to the
most of us, including myself. It can be one of the most annoying things & ruins your plans all together. Studies have shown there is no actual cure for the common cold, but there is some key things you can do to hurry along the healing process & make it less painful. I think it's time to share my grandmothers wisdom with everyone. Some of these you may know & some you may not of even thought of doing, but I guarentee that at least one of these methods will work on you. Colds get the best of us, and its time to fight back.
  • Waters & Fluids
I'm sure all of you have known that when you have a cold, fluids is key. You can flush out a cold quicker & more effectively this way. Water, juice & other fluids help to free congestion & prevent dehydration. Avoid drinking caffeine, which worsens the chance of dehydration.

  • Humidity
Who didn't have a humidifier when they were a child? I know I did. Ever wonder why colds happen in the winter? Cold virus' seem to be more active in dryer conditions. This sounds out of content but I suggest boiling water & getting a large bowl. Pour the water in the bowl & and lower your head near to the bowl with a towel over your head. Inhaling the steam from the boiling water will help to clean out you nose & throat. It also helps to prevent sore throats.

  • Vitamin C & Honey
Vitamin C doesn't help shorten the length of colds, but it's been proven that taking a large dosage of vitamin C during the early stages in a cold could help to make the side effects of a cold not so severe. Honey helps to lessen inflamation of the throat & plus it tastes good. These may not hurry your cold along, but they sure wont hurt you.

  • Salt Water
I find this alternative to be my favorite. I've used this method since I was little & it never fails me. Take a glass of warm or hot water & add a couple tablespoons of salt & stir. Gargle the water in your mouth then spit. This helps to temporary relieve sore throats.

  • Cayenne Powder
If you want a remedy for a sore throat quick, I strongly suggest this one. It may take awhile but it works. Gargle cayenne powder in water every 15 minutes. Your throat will be fine in no time. It doesn't hurt to swallow a small amount of the cayenne & water also, It helps to kill infection further down.

I hope my guide helps to ease your pain in time of need. All of these methods worked for me personally, but if you're still in trouble, try searching the internet for more alternatives. I give all credit of my knowledge of these methods to my grandmother. xD

Great guide, lol.

Now I know what to do when I get a cold next time, a few of these are things I'm sure everyone knows or at least they should know.

Really well written, looking forward for some more material from you.
