Default [Tutorial] Make Your Desktop Items Transparent

Go to Control Panel > System, > Advanced > Performance area > Settings button Visual Effects tab "Use drop shadows for icon labels on the Desktop"

Short, sweet, and to the point, I like it. You might want to add pictures though, they always boost user comprehension.

I usually do for my tutorials but I didn't feel the need for pictures in this one.

To be honest I have no clue, I posted this on fail.org like beginning of last year. I dug up all the tuts I posted there and posted them here. If it is from there then credit to the site.
