[Tut] Getting To Grips With..
The Nato-Phonetic Alphabet.
 A previous Raf version was, Ace, Beer, Charlie, Don, Edward, Freddie, George, Harry, Ink, Johnnie, King, London, Monkey, Nuts, Orange, Pip, Queen, Robert, Sugar, Toc, Uncle, Vic, William, X-Ray, Yorker & Zebra. This was more suited to British accents, apparently. The Nato version was created in 1956 and has become the accepted standard phonetic alphabet. It is used to minimise confusin when reading letters aloud on the radio or telephone. 'P' and 'B' sound very similar - but 'Papa' and 'Bravo' do not. This is a very handy little thing to learn.
