Ok, first things first
If you do NOT have FireFox, get it
now!
It can be found at
getfirefox.com
FireFox will speed up your browsing immediately as well as protect you from security vulnerabilities in Internet Explorer
Next get the FasterFox extension, I'm pretty sure this makes it faster, it can't hurt right?
FasteFox homepage
Now open up FireFox and in the address bar type in about
:config -
Something like this should pop up
In the filter box type in 'network'
Scroll down until you find: network.http.pipelining, then set it to true
You can also change this value, but I don't reccommend it because it places a lot of strain on the server of the web page:
Next make a new value (by right click anywhere) called 'nglayout.initialpaint.delay' and set the value to zero
Now the final trick is to: type /
Seriously! If you add an / to the end of the url like
www.getfirefox.com/ you'll get there a lot faster because the server knows what you're looking for
Enjoy!
