My proposal.

Okay this is what I think we should do, it probably won't help at all, but who knows. What I think we should do is just make like 3 or so general forums. One for media (music, videos, pictures, etc.) one for gaming (maybe) and then one for everything else. Something along those lines. Get rid of all these unused forums cluster-fucking my RSF.

Let me know what you guys think, and this is for serious. I don't want no bullshit posts in this thread, it's fine elsewhere but not this forum.

But meh, if WD doesn't do anything, and if Matt doesn't give us the permissions then we can't do anything and we're screwd.


I also thought of something else after I sent that PM. If we used the rep system, we could also get some good active and meaningful posters. For example, once you get 25 rep, then you are allowed to see some special section, 50 rep you can see the high rep section, and at 200 rep you can see the donor section. Something along those lines.

That's my thoughts.

To be honest, I do think Aaron would do a fine job with administrator permissions. Yeah, he can be an annoying, ignorant, douche bag (no offense, lol!) I think he could "mature up" and get shit down. However, honestly we don't need another admin here, mainly due to the fact I can't edit Admin permissions and the permissions that are default with the admin group are useless. I'm here and willing to do what you guys want, changes-wise, so you could just as easy just let me know what you think needs changing.

I have to disagree with RuneScape. I can justly say that RuneScape is split into two groups now. Very young, immature, and annoying children playing the game. (They probably have no clue on what a forum even is.) The second group is the older, more mature (sometimes, haha) group. However, these people don't play the game. They bot it. So a General RuneScape forum would honestly be pointless.

Also a drug section would make it even better. I'm okay with a Drug Section (although it's sort of 'copying' [not really though] Zypur) but I don't know how Matt and everyone else views this. I'm not making changes anymore without everyone's (or a majority) approval, because it gets us no where.

The torrents/warez/whatever would be a good idea, but I'm not sure if our hosting allows for this. I'm pretty sure we are using HostGator, and I can say from experience they do not allow this.

I have every permission except for the permission to edit Admin Privileges (I think I can edit moderator privileges, not quote sure). There may also be a few random privileges I don't have, but so far none of any importance.
If we can get some more activity within the next few weeks I have already planned for Promotions where needed. Also, before anything else is done I am going to probably adjust the Staff team one last time, there seems to be some holes in it.

Well considering this whole forum is a spam section we don't really need one. What I think would really help is just have a "whatever" attitude and not be too strict on what someone posts. (Obviously take action if hings get way out of control.) How the sections are now are not how many forums are. We are all constantly spamming and insulting one another and I don't think a *serious* infraction has been issued in a very long time. It should stay this way as it makes the forum more enjoyable to be a part of.

Also, Matt has posted int he staff lounge a few days ago and suggested the name "Random Stuff Forums". I think this name is very fitting and I'm going to fix thing's up in a bit. I need help coming up with a tag line or slogan of some sort. I thought of "let your imagination run wild" but that's really cheesy, etc.

Oh and sorry for posting so much so fast, but I'm just posting what comes to my head as it does, so nothing is forgotten.

I was thinking he could help mroe with re-constructing the forum. Maybe an invisible admin like how I had invisible global powers but it still looked like I could only mod a section.

I know what you mean, but sometimes that isn't good. I think we should stay a "general" forum, but obviously have one main thing to attract people, like the CS servers, etc. you mentioned.

Demotions have already been issued, but no promotions will be issued until it is discussed with the current staff.

On Mmowned they have it set up so that you can't give out any rep until you have recieved 5 reputation. Once you recieve 5 reputation you are allowed to give out 1 rep point at a time. After you recieve something like 20 reputation, then you can give one more then before. Once you get more then 500 posts (and at a 500 interval after that) you can give one more rep point. After being registered for like 6 months you can give an additional.

If you have recieved less then 5 rep then you are considered a leecher and can't have an avatar (and maybe signature I forget).

Something like that, I'm probably forgetting some more important stuff.
