The Future of RSF..

Alright, here in the next couple days I, and the staff are going to clean up the forum. You can help us, by reporting the various threads with spam in them, it will be greatly appreciated, and wont go unnoticed. We have been letting things get to far out of control, and RSF has potential but there are some things that have to be worked out.

We hope we can restore RSF to what it use to be back in the day. We know it will be the challenge, and we are willing to take on the challenge. We will also be looking for new moderators as we grow, and anyone is able to grab the positions that we will be offering. This will give you a chance to become apart of RSF, and make a change for yourself.

The Topic of The Forum
The forum will remain a Runescape forum, but this may change if Nathan ever comes back. For now we will keep as is, and this comes to work out, we will keep it. Also, depending on how things go we may add or remove some sections on the forum. If there is a Section that you think may be worth adding leave us a suggestion, and we may add it if enough people want it.

Spamming/Flaming
If we are going to make this forum work we have to stop the spamming, and the flaming that all of us have taken apart of in the last few days. I admit even I have done a little. Lets cut this out, and make the forum a more pleasant place to post. Warnings/Infraction will be given out for whom breaks the rules.

Staff
Also, regarding the current staff. They will all stay the same, and if we feel needed we will make changes. This includes myself.

Advertisements
We are going to start over, with the thread for creating a advertisement signature. Same rules, and such will apply. Also it would help to advertise RSF modestly in your signature on other forums. This is only if the forum allows that because we do not want any other problems from any other forums.

RSF Private Server.
This may be coming soon. More details in the future.

We apologize for letting the forum, getting the way it is, and we hope that we turn things around appropriately.

Sounds like pretty much all we can do.

Why couldn't you just restart off of the old Sig comp thread? Oh well. I'm glad we're finally getting somewhere. Hope it all goes as planned.

Also, it'd probably be best to lock the threads that are main targets by the spammers. Some threads have more room taken up by the deleted message that's left from deleting the spam than there is actual posts.
And, Justin, your announcement is to a thread in the Admin lounge.

Like you said, now that we've decided to clean up the site, activity goes down because no one has anything to bitch about. :p

Just refreshing the New Posts button, I see like 6 spam articles. And no mods are on at this time. You should assign a moderator to be on at the odd hours.

Face it... Runescape forums/Runescape is dead. Dumb little children are finding out there are no hacks for RuneScape... That's 70% of ANY rs forum user gone.

If we get the private server it'll me all good!

I would happily change the forum to a non a Runescape forum, and soon as we get the chance to change it up, we will. I have to talk to Rob whenever he gets on. Hopefully we can talk to Nathan to change up the theme forum as well.

I will be making a thread where the active members can suggest sections they want.

What you have to understand is the spammers, nearly spam 24/7, and we delete them soon as possible, along with banning, and Ip banning the spammers. A Moderator that can be on odd hours would be great, and is something we are going to look into.

I wasn't saying anything about being at school, I was saying promoting a person who lives on the other side of the world being a moderator, would cut down on the amount of spam.
