Default RSF Newsletter #1 - Ending 12 Dec 08

Hey Everyone,

Just thought I'd update you on the progress of RSForums.org on a regular basis.

It has been twelve (12) days since RSF has opened back up, we have started to get heavily involving into the cheating side of runescape.

Since the re-open of RSF we have implemented the following;

The Development Team

The development team will work together to make some easy clients (.exe) that you'll be able to run directly from your computer. This will allow "noobs" to be able to get involved in the cheating aspect as much as advanced users. The development team is headed by Macroman, some of you might know him, some many not. The aim behind starting the development team was to be able to make some new bots and keep them updated and bring cheating back in the runescape, over the years everyone has been trying to come up with the "next best thing" (Jmarco, Aryan , etc).

The development team is formed so we can bring "cheating" back into runescape since the demand has been greater than ever since the new real world restrictions added last year. Once the development team has started a few easy to run (.exe) files they will be posted for you to all try and run and then publicly be advertised. The development team will also endeavor to make a scriptable bot for the more advanced users, of course later down the track; we'll have a learning corner, where you can try to do some bots and get advise from the development team.

If you know anyone who would be a benefit to the team please either PM myself, Ryan or Marcoman. After the 30 December 2008 you/they will need to go through an application process to get accepted into the development team.

Bugs & Glitches

The bugs & glitches team has been formed recently to find new bugs and exploits in runescape. The team is lead by Stephen & Taylor and they will accept members (after 01/01/09) when they deem them worthy to the glitch team. (More information on the application process on the next update)

The bugs & glitch team now has a restriction of 75 posts to view the forum, this is protection against Jagex (if they happened to come across to the site) and anyone that spams the board to get to 75 would obvious be caught before they got that far.

The bug & glitch section will be taken down today to allow the leaders to add more bugs and then launch them in the new year.

SCAR Section

Since the demand for scriptable bots is starting to grow and everyone wants the best scripts (that wouldn't get them banned). We have decided to take on the revamp of this section. The new SCAR section will be broken down like this;

SCAR
|-> SCAR General (Discuss Updates, new plugins, etc.)
      |-> SCAR Archives (Place for old guides/old scripts etc)
|-> SCAR Guides (How to setup, etc.)
|-> SCAR Scripts
With the new section, comes a new Moderator. We would like to welcome Jethr0x to the staff team. He is very experienced in SCAR and has a lot to offer the section and RSF. Welcome to the team!

We'll keep you updated on this section in the next update

Meet The Staff

As of today the View Forum Leaders is being removed and we'll having "Meet the Staff", this is just a little bit about the staff team and gives you a bit more detail about them rather just listing who is a moderator where.

A direct link can be found > http://www.rsforums.org/forums/staff.php

Marketplace

You might be asking by now what the hell is going on with the marketplace, MM and Official Trainers, We're still working which way we'll go with the marketplace. I think we'd end up making it a secure marketplace but we are still working out which way we'll end up going with the process to become "a vertified seller/buyer". I hope to have some more information for you all in the next update.

IRC - Chatroom

We currently have IRC channel if you connect via /s irc.zypur.com /j #rsf you'll be in the chat room. I'm hosting it on my VPS which at the moment by the domain name you can tell is Zypur's :p So feel free to check it out and hopefully I'll see you in there

GFX Section

The GFX section is very inactive at the moment; we are thinking of ways to help grow this section, if you have any idea's please let us know, also don't forgot to refer all your GFX friends. We'll be having a few competitions in that section but you'll have to wait until the next update to see what's involved

Donate & Arcade Button

Since we changed to the new chestnut skin, some of you are not sure how to get to the donate screen or the arcades, so please use the following, and I'll them put into the Quick Links until Matt gets online to add them into the navigation.

Donate > http://www.rsforums.org/forums/misc.php?do=donate

Arcade > http://www.rsforums.org/forums/arcade.php

That brings me to an end for this newsletter and I just wanted to say a big thank-you to every one of you for your continuing support for RSForums We'll have to have something to celebrate. On a quick note, most of you have asked about Matt he won't be online until after Christmas, his computer blew up/died so until he can get a new one he won't be online. I hope to have him online just before Christmas though, if you want to chat to him however you can catch him on Xbox live.

Why does have to MSN? Too secreto for the forums? If you don't want people to find out about something, post it at RSF.

I would, but i'm pretty we're not allowed to post warez at RSF.

I could give you a link, to the dl and keygen, on msn, but really that's all.
