Default Ads, or no ads?
I need to make a choice here, display clicksor advertisements around the forums, or not too. I'm letting you guys decide, because all the money will be put into the site, and sub sites for you guys. We will take no profit for ourselves.

Pros:
  • Will generate extra revenue to pay for website advertising, server costs & software licensing fees.
  • Will allow us to bring you sub sites of rsforums.org, for example; a runescape-based wiki.
  • Will only be temporarily, until we receive the first payout ($50).
Cons:
  • It's Clicksor.
  • It replaces alot of words, automatically with text links throughout all threads, posts, and even on the homepage.
What do you think? :wacky:

Why does have to MSN? Too secreto for the forums? If you don't want people to find out about something, post it at RSF.

Yes, it is annoying. That is one of the main reasons I'm asking you guys. It's gonna be very annoying, but it is only temporary, if you guys want it that is.

Probably not, trust me it's annoying. It'll be 2 weeks of hell. Everytime you put your mouse-over certain words on the forum a pop-up box will come up with an ad :P.

But it is only temporary if you guys decide to do it. It probably will be worth it :P

I rather have the site running with ads then not having the site ran at all.

I agree. But I don't know if it would have that big of an effect on us though.

Yeah, it would be annoying, but I would say go for it. I always navigate around the words anyway when I find sites with them on the internet, so I'll be ok with it.

why not get some small ads links at the bottom of the website...

ask users to click every once in awhile so you get your money.
