[TUT - VB 6] Simple Web Browser

Either reinstall VB or try and find a download for it.

i installed it a day before. it came with a book i got. i was trying to learn it last year during library assistant at school. the librarian kept asking me what i was doing... let me see if i can find it on the net or something.

u have ie 7 installed if so
do this:

right click components
scroll down to Microsoft internet controls
click browse
then click all files
then scroll around and locate shdocvw.dll
and there u have it

i did everything right, but when i hit play it says Visual basic 6 has encountered a problem and needs to close..

That is either your PC or your Copy of VB. It has nothing to do with the coding or anything.

well i got vb 6 portable, which could be something with it, i'm on the shittiest computer right now, actually its not that bad but the hardrive is from a computer from 95

Although, you don't have to do the:
webbrowser.Navigate ("blah")
thing.
Just click the webbrowser area and in the properties go down to the bottom. You should see the text "URL" in that field you can just change it to whatever so that when it's opened it goes to that webpage. !! THAT WOULD NOT BE YOUR HOMEPAGE ;) !!

I know, but doing it the way I showed to gets people more familiar with the Controls of the web browser.
