Last.fm > Pandora

So yesterday I was listening to Pandora and I hit my 40 hour limit.

I'm tired of Pandora's bullshit, you can only skip 6 songs per hour, and you can't make a station that only plays songs you've "liked".

So my friend told me about last.fm. At first their website was annoying to navigate and it was a big leap over from Pandora, but it is soooooo worth it. You can skip as many songs as you want, and you can set up a station so that it ONLY plays songs you've favorited which is epicly awesome. It also keeps statistics (everybody loves statistics).

Last.fm kicks Pandora's ass.

I will try it out.

i like Grooveshark. But you have to search for every song you want to listen to (I think); I haven't really used it much; I just download the music I want to listen to.

Yes, Pandora has a 40-hour listening limit (per month). A month will almost always have at least 30 days, so if you do the math its barely over an hour per day. I listen to music about 50-60% of the time I'm awake. I typically sleep from 3AM till 10AM, so thats 17 hours of awake time. 50% of 17 is 8.5. 40 divided by 8.5 is 4.7(ish). so about 4 and a half days and I'll hit the 40 hour limit. Bull crapping shat.

What I don't get is why they charge $36 for one year of listening vs. 99 cents per month (if you go over 40 hours). It seems like anyone who actually pays $36 should be shot for being stupid, no?

The 36$ for a year also comes with a lot of other benefits, including the inf. hours.

...Or you can just download the music and listen to it whenever..?
