It's kind of hard to compete with near-perfection though. Blizzard has such a strong background and such a massive fanbase that they are nearly invincible. The only other MMO that could possibly beat WoW in the near future is that star wars MMO.

Blizzard is an even bigger money whore then Jagex. When I subscribed to WoW I had it set up so that it too 15$ every month. a few months (10+) later I Decided to quit. At the time of canceling my subscription I hadn't even logged into WoW for all of the month, and my next month's subscription was supposed to be renewed the next day. When I cancled it though, they took the 15$ out TWO HOURS before I cancled. I contacted thier support and told them that I didn't even use the previous month's subscription, and was wondering if I could be refunded for the month that started two hours before that.

Of course I got rejected because they are fucking assholes.

The next big idea that Runescape is going to rip off of Blizzard is the trading card game. The trading card game will have certin codes on them that if you enter them in you could get some special in-game gear. The gear won't affect combat and it will act like random or holiday armor.

Blizzard whores off of Dark Age of Camelot. DAoC had that thing where you get more exp for being logged out before Blizzard did

I imagine Jagex would be smart about changing passwords.

Perhaps they will have it set up so that in order to change the password you have to enter like 2 or 3 authentication codes.

For example, you go to the page where you can change your password. You enter your username, your current password, your new password, then your new password again to verify. Then under that it will have an authentication box where you enter your first number, lets say 019234. Then under that it will have a second box and you ahve to wait a few minutes for the next number, 194824. then you click change and it checks that those are the correct numbers and then viola the password is changed.

But I don't think it will be exactly like that since it has its obvious flaws. But something similar will probably be in place.

People can easily lie if they have a key or not.



There will be a lot more account sellers (mostly scammers trying to sell their accounts for cheap and recover).

The prices will drop to a point where no one would want to buy any accounts anymore.

Wow learn to read my posts. I covered all of that already.

And if they don't use a MM then they deserve to be scammed.

I bet if they tried to scam with the key and recover it enough times, the account'd just get locked.

It depends what angle Jagex takes on this whole thing.

You have to buy the key, how many people do you think are going to buy it.

Anyone with a level 100+, anyone that has been previously hacked, and anyone that is in the serious black market will probably end up buying at least one of these.

The question is, if you can link the authenticator to more then one account like you can with Blizzard's.
