Sounds close enough to Phishing. The intelligence of the average Runescape player is low enough for them to fall for this. When they realize they've been scammed they will not come back and will not recommend this site to more people.

But its a different type of scam, not a cheating-scam. The difference is that a phish scam, isn't cheating anyone on here. But the scamming that isn't allowed, is the ones where you trade accounts, pins and gold etc unfairly.

Scamming is taking something that isn't yours to take, or to take without without the person being aware that their possessions are going to be taken.

That is what phishing is, you are taking their account without there permission.

Think of it as being part of the thieving skill, but with more profit

That is something we are allowing I guess then.

So this site accepts scamming, as long as it isn't anybody here.

Great...

That's one of the premises of RS cheating. Every time you RWT, you are "scamming" other players because they are not getting geepees in return for money.

Luring was scamming, but no one cared when I did it? No one complained. Phishing is the same sort of thing. We're doing it to idiots in the GAME, not people on RSF so you shouldn't that worried about it.

In my playing days cheating was all about bots. You autoed. You leveled up and occasionally you used a PK bot.

It didn't hurt anybody in particular. If people couldn't train in a spot they'd move on or switch worlds. And it's not hard to match the speeds of a PK bot. I was just lazy.

But phishing is not cheating the game. It's cheating other people. That's why I don't like it.

So you're not scamming people here. You're such a saint.

Luring is a legitimate strategy, you drop your own items to lure others. I see nothing wrong with it.

Phishing however, is going into somebody elses account and taking what they have.

No, I just don't care about people I will never see again. And like it or not, todays luring, is phishing. Every person that I knew who lured, now phishes. It's all the same.
