RAM fucked my computer up?
well, after I installed my own ram on my computer quite a while ago weird shit started happening, playing CS my internet would randomly go out and i'd have to restart the computer. Gunz was working fine before, but I recently tried to play and it was extremely jittery and stuff.
If I installed the ram wrong could this be whats messing it up?
It's the right kind of ram and all for my computer..

Video card is more likely. I doubt RAM would do that.. It is physical memory, I would think the program would shut down completely if there was something wrong with it...

It is possible, because when I first got my new computer my computer was doing stuff like this, and it eventually came to the point where it would just randomly turn it's self off. When I sent it back to HP, they sent me a status report and said that the computer had bad RAM and that they would send me the same exact computer, but without faulty ram.

Why does have to MSN? Too secreto for the forums? If you don't want people to find out about something, post it at RSF.

No, It wasn't the fan, because that's the first thing I checked, and usually when a fan is failing you get an error message when the computer turns off.

it doesnt really matter what kind of ram u put in, like pc3200 will work in a computer that uses pc2700 ram but the pc3200 will only run at pc2700 and u can use pc2700 in a pc that will use pc3200 but it will only run at pc2700.
id the rams detected and everything then that shouldnt be it. it could be that could be using more power and ur power supply cant handle it? im not sure... ram is plug and play usually so it wouldnt be bios or anything. remember not to use more then 2gb (mabey 4gb...) in a 32bit os pc. u can use up to 64gb on vista i think. vistas only good point so far... :\
i work on older pc's mostly the kind with out pci slots...
