Default I want MY music on MY computer, ffs Apple?

So, as most people know, Apple are gay and won't let me take the music from my iPod, and put it on my new computer, but I know there are ways to do this.
I've tried a few programs but I'm not sure on how iDump works, the other one I needed to pay for and the other method didn't work properly.

So if anyone knows, please tell me.

you should be able to copy them srait from the ipod! mine i can just enable hidden folders and go into "IPOD:\Ipod Control\music\somethingrandom\random.mp3"
idk it ramdomizes the filenames or the folders.....

You can do that, but the iPod encodes file names, so all the files are named funky things without using a decoding program that can also rip from the iPod.

Another reason that iTunes is gay. Using WinAmp, I know for sure there is a way to get music on the iPod without having filenames encoded. I don't know how to do it, but I managed on my old iPod.

What kind of iPod do you have? If you have an iTouch your screwed but anything else is easy.

Just drag your music off your ipod like the above poster said, then open iTunes and click File -> add folder to library then select the folder you have dragged the folders with your music in them to.

heres a step by step:
1. open your iPod
2. Drag all the folders that have your mp3s in them to your desktop
3. make a new folder on your desktop
4. put the folders with your music into the folder you jsut made
5. open iTunes and do File -> Add Folder
6. Select the folder with all the other folders
7. ????
8. Profit

I done the thing where I add folders, with the encrypted names, and all the names came up fine in iTunes, but after I disconnected the iPod, it said it couldnt find the file. Then I plugged it back in and it worked..

Writing that I'm thinking I should just copy all that music into a folder and put that music into iTunes, am I right..?

Just use a program called floola. It's free and has worked for me. Changes the file names and organizes them.

Why does have to MSN? Too secreto for the forums? If you don't want people to find out about something, post it at RSF.
