Default Bypass Corporate Firewalls // Bypass Web Filters

I dont know if someone has posted a guide but every forum needs one.

Schools/Work use varies of ways to block out websites that are not appropiate but they always manage to block the **** you really need... So here are some techniques to get around these!!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
METHOD 1 -- Removing Proxy Settings --
Alot of computers have direct access to the internet but are set up to go through a proxy first. Obviously this proxy limits your browsing so it should be removed.
http://dickij.co.uk/howproxy
This will show you how to remove proxy settings from internet explorer.
Now if your work is very secure they will use group policy to stop you from changing the proxy settings! No problem, head over here www.getfirefox.com download firefox and make your settings are:
www.dickij.co.uk/howfirefox
Please give these flash files time to load... Refreshing a couple of times can help
Now if you got a school like mine (real tight ass') you might find without a proxy setting you havent got internet access... Ok from my research i have gotten unfiltered internet even under these circumstanses. But this is because of a hole they haven't realised yet.
Our network is made up 1 virtual network with like 6 other schools and 2 internet servers. 1 server runs School proxy on port 8080 with strict filtering and the other normal filtering on port 8002. Now what i found is that both servers allow internet access through port 8002 and 8080. But only one port is filtered. So if you find that removing the proxy settins removes your internet access try changing your proxys port to the following:
80; 8080; 3128; 1024; 8002. <--- These are the most populare settings
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

METHOD 2 -- Proxy --

Ok this method is the easiest and your only real option if method 1 doesn't work.
It involves visiting a website which will fetch you the website you want through their servers. Here is a list of sites

www.alienproxy.com, www.hidemyass.com, www.proxify.com, www.w00tage.com

These are well known proxys and possibly already blocked so as a last resourt you can use my personal proxy found at www.dickij.co.uk

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Method 3 --Circumventor --
Circumventor is a project set up to allow you to visit blocked websites everywhere. Theyre site supplies you with all the information to install your own proxy server on your computer and access it on the internet. Even the noobies user can do it!
  1. Download ActivePerl from this link and install it. It must be installed to C:\Perl (this should be the default). Accept all of the default options.
  2. Download OpenSA 2.0.2 beta from this link (FireFox users -- please right-click and pick "Save Link As") and install it. Accept all of the default options. (If you get to a screen titled "Server Information" and it doesn't have values filled in for "Network Domain", "Server Name" and "Administrator's Email Address", just fill in these boxes with made-up random values -- the Circumventor doesn't use them.)
  3. Download the circumventor-setup.exe program from this link and pick "Save" -- then once you have saved it on your computer, run the circumventor-setup.exe file that you saved.
If the circumventor-setup.exe program succeeds, it will display an "It's ready!" page at the end of the install. If it fails, it will create a file circumventor-setup-log.txt -- send that file to bennett@peacefire.org and we will try to figure out what went wrong.
Happy surfing!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Method 4 ~~ Always be one step ahead ~~

Don't like the sound of hosting your own proxy? Well why dont you leech off everyone elses? Go here:

And enter your email address for theire mailing list where they will send you links to all the newest proxys setup by people around the world.

All who have accomplished great things have had a great aim, have fixed their gaze on a goal which was high, one which sometimes seemed impossible.

Personally if you are going to use this to play runescape or get on some site that isn't school related I think your an idiot. You should be worried about your schoolwork not how to bypass the filter.

Hey, these filters were not made to by pass runescape specifically. They are to bypass filters to access ites you need... Belive it or not the filter at our school is so **** you can't access bbc... Reason, i dont know.

In places like my school port blocking is implemented. even if you bypass the filter to get the runescape client, it will not be able to communicate with the login servers.

So why would i try when i know i litterally (spelling?) cant?

I do my work, on time and with great standards. I have spare time to which i'll spend browing a couple of forums but once again out school uses word scoring (Swear words have points)... So if a page has like fúck twice in it, i will get a DDR access denied.

Please do not judge, Thanks!!! :P

For those who dont know what bbc is... It's a large site with many EDUCATIONAL sites, and in the welsh language which is even better seeing as i go to a welsh school! www.bbc.co.uk
