Dreamweaver CS3
I recently cracked Dreamweaver CS3 with a keygen I found. The keygen worked but it was a virus... My virus scanner wasn't finding anything and everytime I went to a page it redirected me and I had to go back and click again for it to work. After a few days of this I decided to use the keygen again and write down the info for a new key. I then did a destructive restore from the boot menu. I had to now reload all of my programs since the registry keys and many other things were moved/removed. I went to reinstall Dreamweaver and it didn't work. It said, "Licensing for this product has stopped working. You cannot use this product at this time. You must repair the problem by uninstalling and then reinstalling this product or contacting your IT administrator or Adobe customer support for help." I tried reinstalling it, removing then reinstalling it, deleting the files then reinstalling it, redownloading the install files, and contacting customer support. I can't really contact customer support since I cracked it and I don't have the info that I used. I'm currently trying to download dreamweaver 8 then upgrading from there to CS3. Any one have any ideas?

Yeah, learn how to cheat the system correctly. A keygen shouldn't even be able to be a virus, all it does is generate letters and numbers.

Ian I saw this in the security news recently where people were making CS3 keygens contain worms. Don't feel bad lots of people got hit by it. I got the same error message you got when trying to install CS3 except I didn't have a virus, I just decided to keep using CS2 since it wasn't worth the effort.

Is cs2 any good then? I'm trying deleting it and going through the registry and deleting all of dreamweaver...

It's not bad, not going to have as many features as CS3 but for the most part it shouldn't matter unless your some uber leet artist.

It's for websites so I don't really see what art has to do with it...

Art has a lot to do with it.
Most good websites are pure CSS which can include a lot of photoshop work. If you know what's up, that is.
Woody, mind linking me to that article? I wanna know how that works, seems like it'd be impossible to me, but I'm not a leet haxor.
Anywho, from what I can tell, CS2 to CS3 is mainly interface changes in most of the programs. They added a lot of smaller things, but for all mainstream practical uses CS2 works just as well.

Yes, but thats Photoshop, not Dreamweaver. The only true art that can be coded (as far as I know) is VML. Dreamweaver would be used to process the art, not make it.

True. (There's also Action Script which can be used for some leet 3d effects, with no actual drawing.) But you would still use Dreamweaver to code the css and make the art functional, so it's a joint process.

Still, it would be much easier to prove if I could actually open CS3 with out it closing... I want to try Flaiming Idiot's Stat sig script. I want to learn asp.net or atleast php so I can make better sites. Basic HTML and Javascipt is old and outdated.
