Default Anyone know why there is no standard for DOM yet?

It's pretty lame that after God knows how many years, there is yet to be a DOM standard for Javascript and CSS.

Why haven't they come up with one yet? It'd be nice for us designers :/

Because DOM is so pointless. If you're going to take the time to learn it, you're in a pointless class that wanted to waste a week of your time teaching it to you out of a crappy book.

Oh wait... We've been there...
