Default Instruments.

We need another topic k.

What instruments does everyone play/how long for etc?

I've played guitar for a bit longer than drums, but I am better on drums and I prefer drums .

I play guitar, and have done for 5 years.
I play drums in a band though, but the only reason I do is because nobody we know is any good at all on drums, apart from me and a friend. Me and him tend to switch between guitar/drums alot. Also do duets with guitar etc, it's pretty fun

I prefer guitar. Drums seem very limited to what they can create, guitar has a lot more possibilities.

Guitar doesn't have more possibilities at all. Also drums don't need thousands of dollars of electrical equipment to be unique.

I feel the total opposite way. Guitar got boring to me and I got my drumkit, so I pretty much quit it because it bored me.

Guitar does have more possibilities IMO, eg. a basic drumkit: two toms, 3 cymbals, floor tom, bass drum (Maybe a double kicker) and a snare. Average guitar: 6 strings, on average 24 frets, thats approximately 144 different notes, not including chords/power chords, then you have harmonics, a shitload of effects, bends, vibratos, licks, pull-offs, hammer-ons etc.

I'm not saying drums are shitty (first comment was sarcastic I always joke with Chase about it IRL) but to me Guitar has way more possibilities if you know what you are doing.

Drums can be very exciting with an experienced drummer, for example watching chase on a single kicker making it sound like a double (seriously thats sweet), but to me guitar is still a more creative instrument.

Thats my opinion anyway
