Exclamation How to make a moving picture! (Video .gif)

Heres a tut on how to make a moving picture!
Examples:

Outcome with a higher quality recorder:

First you need some sort of screen recorder, you could use the high quality one for a better gif, for the ones above i used a crappier one thats why there a lower quality.

You need to record/create a video. Shorter and smaller videos work better in the end.

Next you need to download a 123 avi to gif converter:
http://www.4shared.com/file/83402667...verter_30.html

When downloaded, extract and open. It should look somwhat like the picture below:

1 open your avi file
2 figure out if you need to shorten
3 type in how much shorter
4 convert to a .gif file
5 save your video gif image

Here is an example of how to do it:

Now that you have got your .gif image saved you need to find a host, Now you cant use imageshack but you can use photobucket but i wouldn't since photobucket removes a lot of their images. I would suggest using our forums for hosting smaller things like avatars but i would use tinypic for hosting some of the larger sized ones.

Any now you have it, a moving picture, they work great in siggys and avatars too

Jasc gif animator does this to and I like the layout of it a lot better. You can edit each individual frame and such. Does avi to gif as well as a few other filetypes.

Wow, awesome. But is there a way to like add another avi to it, and add it to the end? So you can record two clips and put them both in the same gif?

Is it necessary to use HUGE font in all of your guides? use normal sized font.
Regardless, nice guide. Thanks.

Why does have to MSN? Too secreto for the forums? If you don't want people to find out about something, post it at RSF.
