Obama - President Elect
I know many threads have been made about this and it's old news, but I just wanted to see what the community thought of it?
Do you think McCain should of got elected? If so, why?
Although I don't really follow the politic of the US, I feel that Obama will implement a change in to the US Government which is well overdue. I also think Bush ruin whatever chance McCain had of getting into office.

I think the Gop ruined their chances by endorsing bush. I just hope he doesn't have half a brain like bush.

I think Obama was the right choice for president.
However i must be brutally honest. Obama is very inexperienced. If you noticed, most of his speeches were quite redundant and really only talked about change. However Obama's speeches were well written, and set out strong messages. The thing i like about Obama is that he didn't make any promises, and was honest that he wouldn't make a hude impact, but he would be a step towards change. Most presidents give false promises and hopes just to get votes, but Obama didn't do that.
I don't think McCain would be too great due to the fact that he was proposing a "100 year war". Too many soldiers are getting killed, so i really don't agree with McCain on that cetain issue.

I agree with you two, I just find that quote incredibly funny considering Obama's campaign slogan was "Change"

As much as I dislike Obama's party, he's shown to be pretty intelligent and he wants best for all Americans. Unlike some other presidents.

I dont think his intelligence or his goals really helped him in the race. Not being racist, but he only won because he was of african decent.

I agree with Stewie. I can't really follow American politics too much because I'm Australian, but I think the reason why he won because he is black.
Good for him though, first black president .
